ITHACA, N.Y. – The D'Youville University women's track and field team competed in the Southern Tier Invite hosted by Cornell University on Saturday.

Junior
Lainie Smith (Lancaster, N.Y.) took home a first-place finish for the Saints in the 3000m and set a new personal record with a time of 10:32.16. Senior
Lydia Smith (Williamsport, Pa.) also posted a strong showing in the event, finishing eighth with a personal record time of 11:02.67.

In the 60m, sophomore
Jenna Capolupo (Wheatfield, N.Y.) took sixth place with a time of 7.97. She notched another sixth-place finish in the long jump with a score of 5.38m. Capolupo also tallied an eighth-place finish in the 200m with a time of 26.42.

In the 400m, sophomore
Skylar Savage (Attica, N.Y.) finished fourteenth with a time of 1:06.00. Sophomore
Madison MacNeill (West Seneca, N.Y.) came in right behind her with a time of 1:06.43.

Senior
Sevilla Groebe (Gilbert, Ariz.) set a new personal record in the 600m with a time of 1:49.41, which was good for a fifth-place finish. She also competed in the 200m, finishing thirtieth with a time of 29.33.

Lexie Hillman (Alden, N.Y.) came in thirteenth in the 800m with a time of 2:41.25. She also placed nineteenth in the mile with a time of 5:59.61.

D'Youville will be back in action on Friday when they compete in the Sixth Annual Al Campbell Invitational hosted by the University of Akron.
