SLIPPERY ROCK, P.A. – The D'Youville University women's track and field team placed sixteenth out of twenty-two teams at the Dave Labor Invitational on Saturday.

Lydia Smith (Williamsport, Pa.) took home a second-place finish in the 3000m steeple chase and shattered her previous personal record with a time of 11:26.38. Freshman
Emma Brady (Holley, N.Y.) placed sixteenth in the event with a time of 13:42.82.

Senior
Sevilla Groebe (Gilbert, Ariz.) set a personal record in the 400m with a time of 1:04.81 and finished 21st out of forty-one runners. Freshman
Taylor Bond (Rushman, N.Y.) finished 36th with a time of 1:08.70.

Groebe turned in a strong performance in the 400m hurdles as well, placing eleventh with a time of 1:07.69. Freshman
Tayden Persons (Sherman, N.Y.) came in sixteenth and set a personal record with a time of 1:10.92.

Sophomore
Madison MacNeill (West Seneca, N.Y.) came in twelfth in the high jump with a score of 1.50m. Smith placed fourteenth with an identical score of 1.50m and senior
Kelly Lucas (Fredonia, N.Y.) finished 24
th with a score of 1.40m.

In the javelin throw, Lucas set a personal record and placed 25
th out of forty-eight participants with a score of 29.53m. Sophomore
Barbara Kunz came in 36
th with a score of 23.90m.

In the 800m, Kunz set a personal record with a time of 2:37.25, finishing 42
nd out of sixty-four runners.

D'Youville will be back in action next Saturday when they compete in the Brockport Invitational.
