ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The D'Youville University women's track and field team wrapped up their 2025 outdoor season with a sixth-place finish at the ECC Championships on Thursday.

Graduate student
Lydia Smith (Williamsport, Pa.) was crowned ECC champion in the 3000m steeplechase for the second consecutive year with a time of 11:37.32. Smith also placed fourth in the high jump with a score of 1.50m and eighth in the javelin throw with a score of 28.89.

In the 4x400 relay, the Saints' team of Smith, senior
Sevilla Groebe (Gilbert, Ariz.), sophomore
Madison MacNeill (West Seneca, N.Y.), and freshman
Tayden Persons (Sherman, N.Y.) finished second with a time of 4:10.33.

MacNeill placed third in the high jump with a score of 1.55m and senior
Kelly Lucas (Fredonia, N.Y.) finished sixth with a score of 1.40m.

Junior
Lainie Smith (Lancaster, N.Y.) took fourth place in the 5000m with a time of 18:37.46. Junior
Lexie Hillman (Alden, N.Y.) came in eighth and set a personal record with a time of 20:05.65.

In the javelin throw, sophomore
Barbara Kunz placed fourth and set a personal record with a score of 30.08m. Lucas also set a personal record and came in fifth with a score of 29.99m. Persons set a personal record as well with a score of 26.16m on her way to a 12
th place finish.

Persons set a personal record in the 400m hurdles too, coming in fifth place with a time of 1:08.27. Groebe finished right behind her in sixth with a time of 1:08.38.

In the 800m, Kunz placed tenth out of fourteen participants with a time of 2:34.29 and freshman
Taylor Bond (Rushman, N.Y.) placed twelfth with a personal record time of 2:37.67.

In the hammer throw, Lucas finished ninth out of thirteen competitors with a personal record score of 25.91m. while sophomore
Sophia Vane came in 12
th with a score of 24.88m.

Freshman
Sienna Uebelhoer (Elma, N.Y.) finished seventh in the 1500m with a time of 5:19.09. Redshirt sophomore
Julia Sponable finished 23
rd in the 200m with a time of 27.58.

Emma Brady (Holley, N.Y.) placed seventh in the 4x800 relay with a time of 11:06.03.
