CLINTON, NY – The D'Youville University women's track and field team competed at the Hamilton College Continental Invitational on Saturday.

Jenna Capolupo (Wheatfield, N.Y.) took home a first-place finish for the Saints in the 100m with a time of 12.48. She also took home a first-place finish in the long jump with a score of 5.38m. Capolupo also turned in a strong performance in the 200m with a third-place finish at 26.34.

Lainie Smith (Lancaster, N.Y.) also took home a first-place finish for DYU in the 5000m with a time of 18:38.71, a new personal record. In the same event,
Lily Schulz (Lockport, N.Y.) placed sixth with a time of 20:03.69.

In the high jump,
Lydia Smith (Williamsport, Pa.) brought home another first-place finish for the Saints with a score of 1.52m. Madison Macneill
(West Seneca, N.Y.) had a strong performance as well, finishing in third with a score of 1.47m.
Kelly Lucas (Fredonia, N.Y.) came in fifth with a jump of 1.42m.

In the 400m, the Saints had two top ten finishers with Macneill coming in fourth at 1:04.40 and
Minna Cederman-Kobayashi placing tenth at 1:07.55, new personal records for both runners.

In the 1500m,
Lydia Smith came in fifth place and set a new personal record with a time of 5:07.13. Also competing in the 1500m for the Saints were
Lexie Hillman (Alden, N.Y.), who placed eighteenth;
Mara Mariani (West Seneca, N.Y.), who placed nineteenth; and
Barbara Kunz, who placed twenty-second.

In the 100m hurdles,
Skylar Savage (Attica, N.Y.) placed fourth with a time of 16.61.
Meya McKown came in fourteenth with
Sevilla Groebe (Gilbert, Ariz.) finishing right behind her in fifteenth.

In the 800m,
Lydia Smith took home another top five finish, placing fourth with a time of 2:30.99.

In the 400m hurdles, Groebe clocked a time of 1:09.10 to place fifth.

In the javelin throw,
Lydia Smith and Lucas turned in solid performances with eighth and thirteenth place finishes, respectively.

D'Youville will be back in action next Saturday when they compete in the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock University.
