LOWELL, Mass. – The D'Youville University women's track and field team competed in the Riverhawk Invitational hosted by the University of Massachusetts-Lowell on Saturday.

Senior
Lainie Smith (Lancaster, N.Y.) turned in the best result of the day for the Saints, finishing fifth in the 5000m with a personal record time of 17:40.16.

Sophomore
Madison MacNeill (West Seneca, N.Y.) took 12
th place in a field of fifty-one in the high jump, recording a score of 1.55m. Graduate student
Lydia Smith (Williamsport, Pa.) and senior
Kelly Lucas (Fredonia, N.Y.) tied for 38
th with a score of 1.45m.

Freshman
Tayden Persons (Sherman, N.Y.) set a personal record and placed 14
th out of twenty-two runners in the 400m with a time of 1:07.78. Freshman
Gabrielle Tripi (West Seneca, N.Y.) finished 17
th and also set a personal record with a time of 1:09.21.

In the 500m, senior
Sevilla Groebe (Gilbert, Ariz.) finished 27
th out of thirty-nine runners with a time of 1:22.53.

In the 3000m,
Lydia Smith set a personal record with a time of 10:51.43 and finished 39
th in a field of fifty-seven runners.

Sophomore
Barbara Kunz set a personal record in the 800m with a time of 2:38.52 and finished 58
th out of seventy-four competitors. Freshman
Taylor Bond (Rushman, N.Y.) competed in the event for the first time in her collegiate career and clocked a time of 2:47.56.

In the long jump, sophomore
Skylar Savage (Attica, N.Y.) placed 44
th in a field of sixty-nine with a score of 4.74m.

Junior
Lexie Hillman (Alden, N.Y.) set a personal record in the mile run with a time of 5:52.85 and placed 98
th in a field of 110 runners.

In the 4x400 relay, the Saints' team of Savage, MacNeill, Groebe, and
Lydia Smith took 20
th out of twenty-six teams with a time of 4:15.65.

D'Youville will be back in action on February 7
th when they compete in the Brockport Multi hosted by SUNY Brockport.
