ROCHESTER, NY – The D'Youville University women's track and field team wrapped up the 2024 outdoor season at the ECC Championships on Thursday, placing fourth out of eight teams.

Jenna Capolupo (Wheatfield, N.Y.) had herself a day, taking home a first-place finish in the 100m and second place in the 200m and shattering her previous personal bests in both events. In the 100m, she clocked a 12.04 and in the 200m she clocked a 25.22, which is nearly a whole second faster than her previous personal best. Capolupo also took home a first-place finish in the long jump with a score of 5.62m.

Also bringing home a first-place finish for DYU was
Lydia Smith (Williamsport, Pa.) in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:32.96.

Raechel Zielinski (Hamburg, N.Y.) also took home two podium finishes for the Saints. In the 800m, Zielinski came in second place with a new personal best time of 2:16.42. She took home another second-place finish in the 1500m with a new personal best time of 4:43.21.

Madison Macneill
(West Seneca, N.Y.) turned in a stellar performance in the high jump, finishing in second place with a personal best score of 1.60m.

In the 100m hurdles,
Skylar Savage (Attica, N.Y.) finished in fourth place with a new personal best time of 16.21.

In the 400m,
Minna Cederman-Kobayashi came in sixth place and set a new personal record with a time of 1:06.40.

In the javelin throw, Smith and
Barbara Kunz took home fifth and seventh place finishes with personal best scores of 30.33m and 30.06m, respectively.

In the 4x100m relay, the Saints' team of Capolupo, Savage,
Aliyah White (Greenville, Ala.) and
Sevilla Groebe (Gilbert, Ariz.) finished third with a time of 52.07.

In the 4x400m relay, the team of Savage, Groebe, Zielinski, and Macneill came in third with a time of 4:18.47.
