BUFFALO, N.Y. - The D'Youville University cross country teams prepare to travel to Notre Dame for the 43rd National Catholic Invitational. The meet will feature 15 Catholic institutions from across the country.
ABOUT THE RACE
 The race is hosted by NCAA Division I Notre Dame and is open only to collegiate Catholic institutions. There will be a University division race and a college division race. The women's race will begin at 3:30 p.m., while the men will follow at 4:15 p.m. Awards ceremony is at 5 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Saints recently competed at the Daemen Alumni Classic in Amherst, N.Y. The men's team finished seventh, while the women finished fourth. Henry Smith and Lainie Smith were first to cross the finish line for the men and women, respectively.
H. SMITH EARNS USCAA WEEKLY HONOR
D'Youville University men's cross country runner, Henry Smith, earned United State College Athletic Association Division I Men's Runner of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday evening. Smith had an outstanding showing for the Saints at the 2022 Daemen Alumni Invitational on Sept. 10. The Lockport, N.Y. native recorded a time of 28:36.0. His time landed him in seventh place overall, and was nearly a two-minute improvement from last year's performance at the race. Smith's performance helped pace the Saints to a seventh-place finish. This is Smith's first USCAA weekly honor of the 2022 season.
