Bradford, PA - The D'Youville women's tennis team earned their first victory of the season on Saturday afternoon as they defeated the Pitt.-Bradford Panthers by the final score of 6-3.

Lauren Karoglan (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) and Alisson Meissner (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) were outstanding for the women on Saturday as the two earned the team three points. The two paired together to defeat the top Panther's doubles pairing 8-1. As singles players, Karoglan took down Bradford's top player 6-1, 6-0 while Meissner shut out her opponent 6-0, 6-0.

Faith Falkowski (Batavia, NY/Notre Dame) played a large role in earning her team two additional points as well. Her and Julia Clapper (Cleveland, OH/Highland) won their doubles match 8-4 while Falkowski battled hard in her singles match to earn a 6-4, 3-6, 10-1 victory. 

Lilly Nguyen (Rochester, NY/Penfield) came up clutch for the Spartans to win her match 6-0, 6-1. Amanda Waliszewski (Sanborn, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) and Lexi Dickson (Hamilton, Ont./Frontier) both played hard in their matches.

The next match for the women will come Saturday, September 21 with D'Youville facing off against La Roche on the road.
