Williamsville, NY – The D'Youville women's tennis team got their second win of the season on Sunday morning, defeating conference opponent Pitt.-Bradford 5-4.

As they did on Saturday, D'Youville's top three players of Lauren Karoglan (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park), Gillian Wittig (Depew, NY/Depew), and Dena Iadanza (Vestal, NY/Vestal) earned points for the Spartans. Karoglan and Wittig teamed up to win the top doubles pairing 8-0 over Bradford's number one pairing and then the two each one their singles matches 6-0, 6-0.

Iadanza helped pick up a pair of points for the Spartans as well, winning her singles match 7-5, 6-1. She earned her second point with doubles partner Amanda Waliszewski (Sanborn, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) as the two defeated the second doubles pairing for the Panthers by the score of 8-6.

Alisson Meissner (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) played very well in her fourth singles match, with Waliszewski and Lexi Dickson (Hamilton, Ont./Frontier) each turning in solid performances.

The next match for the women comes this Friday, September 21 when the host the La Roche Redhawks at 8:00pm.
