Greensburg, PA – The D'Youville women's tennis team suffered a 7-2 loss to the Pitt.-Greensburg Bobcats on Saturday afternoon to open up their weekend on the road.
Dena Iadanza (Vestal, NY/Vestal) had an impressive day for the women, playing a direct role in her team earning two points. The first point came in her singles match as she was in the second singles position, defeating her opponent 6-3, 7-5. She then earned a point with her doubles partner Krista Cornell (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) in the first doubles pairing, defeating their opponents 8-4.
Nikki Breton (Alexander, NY/Alexander) and Morgan Finn (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) were both very competitive in their singles matches, narrowly missing out on points for their team. Vaughnna Bauer (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West) and Bryannia Sutton (Mexico, NY/Mexico) played well for the Spartans in each of their singles and doubles matches as well.
The second match of the weekend for the women will come on Sunday, September 24 as the women travel to La Roche. Match time is set for 10:00am.
