Williamsville, NY – The D'Youville women's tennis team was defeated by the visiting Mount Aloysius Mounties on Sunday by the final score of 8-1.

Freshman Natalie Douie (Harare, Zimbabwe/Chisipite Senior School) was the lone winner for the Spartans. She played in the fifth singles slot, defeating her opponent 6-2. 6-3. Douie also played in the second doubles pairing with Nicole Gilforte (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East).

Courtney Fox (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter School) and Krista Cornell (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) played in the number one doubles pairing for third consecutive match.

The women will have a full weekend, playing 4 matches in 4 days, starting with AMCC opponent Franciscan on Friday.
