Williamsville, NY-A late Saturday start became an early Sunday finish for the D'Youville women's tennis team. The Spartans hit the court at 9:30 p.m. and left just after 1a.m. with a 5-4 win over Penn State Altoona.
Meghan Atallah (Kenmore, NY/Mount St. Mary Academy) and Jessica Lampka (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) won in first doubles, and winning in second doubles was Ali Mascioletti (Hilton, NY/Hilton) and Kaitlyn Roland (Victor, NY/Victor). Singles winners were Atallah, Lampka, and Mascioletti.
With the win D'Youville qualifies for AMCC Tournament held October 15-16 in Wexford, PA. The winner of the AMCC receives automatic qualification to the NCAA Division III Tournament. It is the second-straight year D'Youville has qualified for the conference tournament.
