COLONIA, N.J. – D'Youville University Athletics had another strong showing of Fall play and were recognized by the East Coast Conference (ECC) with three major weekly award winners and two student-athletes being named to the Honor Roll for the week of September 14-20.
 
Sophia Hobson, Women's Soccer – ECC Defensive Player of the Week
Hobson was an integral part in keeping the clean sheet at American International on Wednesday and played the important role of shutting down CSI's momentum after their first goal on Saturday. The Freshman led the Saints backline, winning the most balls in the air in both Saints victories while playing all 180 minutes.
 
Alegra Black, Women's Soccer – ECC Goalkeeper of the Week
Black had a stellar week in goal recording a clean sheet on Wednesday in the Saints 2-0 road win against AIC. The junior recorded 13 saves on the week and only allowing one goal in 26 shots faced.
 
Emily Stefik, Women's Soccer – ECC Rookie of the Week
Stefik had a breakout week in her first week of action recording two goals, including the go-ahead at AIC and the first goal of the game in the Saints win against CSI.
 
Gabrielle Giesing, Women's Soccer – ECC Honor Roll
Giesing was a standout for the Saints this week netting the game-winner against AIC on a perfectly placed free kick goal in the top right corner.
 
Ashley Ballou, Women's Volleyball – ECC Honor Roll
In DYU's lone contest of the weekend, a 3-1 victory over Assumption on Friday, Ballou recorded 29 assists and a season-high 13 digs. She also added 3 total blocks and 4 kills on the day, contributing 9 points toward the Saints winning effort.
