Bethlehem, Pa. – In their final regular season meet of the year, the D'Youville University women's cross country traveled to Pennsylvania to compete in the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University.
Lydia Smith (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) led the Saints in the 6k race, finishing with a time of 23:25.8 to place 127th out of the field of 286 racers that completed the course.
Sienna Uebelhoer (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois) was the next DYU racer to cross the finish line, placing 246th with a time of 25:15.1.
The next four D'Youville runners all finished within 10 spots of each which included
Lexie Hillman (Alden, N.Y./Alden) with a time of 26:12.6,
Lily Schulz (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport) with a time of 26:57.6,
Barb Kunz (Buffalo, N.Y./Sacred Heart) with a time of 27:02.2, and
Sevilla Groebe (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland).
As a team, the Saints placed 34th out of 35 teams.
DYU will take the next two weeks off as they will shift focus to the East Coast Conference Championships on October 26th, hosted by Daemen University.
