ERIE, Pa. – The D'Youville University Women's Bowling team headed back to Erie, Pa. for a single day dual against the Penn State Behrend Lions on Saturday. D'Youville competed in two traditional matches along with one baker format match.
Match One – D'Youville University 833 at Penn State Behrend 843
The Saints dropped a close matchup in the first traditional match falling by just 10 pins.
Megan Kapsiak (Lancatser, N.Y. / Lancaster Central) led the way for the Saints bowling an even 200 while
Makayla Pasierb (Dunkirk, N.Y. / Dunkirk) was right behind with a score of 196.
Match Two – D'Youville University 876 at Penn State Behrend 963
The Saints had a tougher time in the second traditional match going up against the Lions 963 pins, but still managed a stronger score of 876.
Hailee Zalwsky (Olean, N.Y. / Olean Senior) led the Saints with a 187 while
Makayla Pasierb stayed consistent scoring a 183.
Match Three – D'Youville University 975 at Penn State Behrend 914 – Baker Format
The Saints ahd their most successful match in their final game of the day. In a five-game baker format match the Saints defeated the Lions by 61 pins. D'Youville had their best game in game two scoring a collective 214 followed by a 204 in game three.
