BUFFALO, N.Y. – The D'Youville University Women's Bowling Team enters the second leg of their season after finishing in 2023 with an 11-27 overall record. The Saints head into the second half of their 2024 season with a dual at Penn State Behrend at Eastland Bowl in Erie, Pennsylvania. The match is set for 1:30 PM on Saturday, January 27th.
Keeping Up with the Saints
The Saints saw their last competition on November 11
th and 12
th at the Daemen University Invitational. On their first day of competition there, they did take a win over Penn State Behrend in a traditional match knocking down 884 pins compared to Behrend's 810.
Megan Kapsiak (Lancaster, N.Y. / Lancaster Central) was named to the all-tournament team with a score of 258 in her best game.
Makayla Pasierb (Dunkirk, N.Y. / Dunkirk) was right on the heels of Kapsiak finishing eighth overall with a best game of 223.
Behrend Bowling
The Penn State Behrend Bowling team currently holds a 21-28 overall record. The team competed this past weekend in the Greater Pittsburgh Collegiate Classic at Saint Vincent, finishing seventh out of ten teams. The Saints have competed head-to-head three times this season against Penn State Behrend and currently hold a 1-2 record. The Saints have gone 1-1 in traditional matches and are 0-1 in baker format matches against the Lions. The Behrend Lions bowling team is coached by Steven Benke.
