Box Score BUFFALO, NY- The D'Youville University men's lacrosse team went up against the Storm of Lake Erie College dropping, 20-9 from Dobson Field.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Stefano Evan lead the way for the Saints by doing a bit of everything finishing with three goals, two assists, and two groundballs, Tristan Engelhardt finished with three goals, Brady Ruffalo recorded two goals, Steve Lucas had all eyes on the field as he wrapped up with three assists, Suman Ramlall had an assist, and Caleb Pate compiled a goal.
FIRST QUARTER
- The Storm wasted no time getting themselves settled in this quarter as they pursued a five-goal run that put them in a comfortable position to get things started, 5-0.
- Ruffalo managed to stop the bleeding for the Saints at 4:33 in hopes to obtain some momentum on their side, 5-1.
- LEC finished the quarter with a convincing lead on the Saints as they produce another three goals to wrap things up, 8-1.
SECOND QUARTER
- The scoring on the LEC side of things began to slow down which favored DYU as they went on a 3-0 run that was contributed by Engelhardt and Evan, 8-4.
- Unfortunately for the Saints that is where the scoring is put on hold for the remainder of the quarter as the Storm pile on another four consecutive goals before going into the half, 12-4.
THIRD QUARTER
- LEC didn't want to show any signs of slowing down as they recorded another three straight goals that placed them into a comfortable position, 15-4.
- From there on the scoring efforts contributed by the Saints were no match for the momentum that the Storm created for themselves that still placed them out in front, 18-8.
FOURTH QUARTER
- This quarter had LEC written all over it as they put three additional goals into the back of the net allowing no DYU goals to be scored solidifying their victory on the road, 20-9.
