Box Score BUFFALO, NY- The D'Youville University men's lacrosse team competed in yet another conference game against the Mavericks of Mercy College dropping, 26-2 from Dobson Field.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Tristan Englehardt and Suman Ramlall both finished with one goal respectively.
FIRST QUARTER
- Mavericks didn't take long to get acquainted in the early going as they went on a 5-0 run.
- Until at 5:57 Engelhardt found a way to get the Saints on the board and put a stop to their run, 5-1.
- The quarter was capped off by a final Maverick goal that gave MC a five-goal lead, 6-1.
SECOND QUARTER
- MC wanted to start things off in a similar fashion as the previous quarter producing a 3-0 run, 10-1.
- A man-up opportunity came about for the Saints that Ramlall took complete advantage of getting one in the back of the net, 10-2.
- Unfortunately, the Saints scoring concluded from there as the Mavericks continued their onslaught for the remainder of the quarter as they scored six consecutive goals that placed them out in front going into the half, 16-2.
THIRD QUARTER
- With the momentum being in favor of the Mavericks they didn't want to let that go to waste as their pace did not look to slow down this quarter scoring seven goals, 23-2.
- The defensive efficiency was at its peak not allowing a single DYU goal to be scored throughout the entirety of the quarter.
FOURTH QUARTER
- MC's foot remained on the gas as they didn't let not one goal go into their net.
- With the Saints unable to find stable positioning in this game the Mavericks were able to secure themselves a conference win in convincing fashion, 26-2.
