Box Score ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- The D'Youville university men's lacrosse team went on the road to compete against the Lions of Molloy University falling, 26-5 from Bob Klein Field.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
FIRST QUARTER
- DYU couldn't plant their feet firmly into the ground this quarter as the Lions did not allow for them to score.
- MU made themselves comfortable finishing with seven goals.
SECOND QUARTER
- In the first 0:27 MU got into foul trouble that positioned the Saints in a man-up opportunity that Ruffalo took advantage of that put an end to the run, 7-1.
- The onslaught did not end due to an additional seven MU goals scored that made their lead an assuring one going into halftime, 14-1.
THIRD QUARTER
- The Lions took over five minutes of the quarter resulting in three MU goals, 17-1.
- That didn't stop the Saints from being urgent making the most of the man-up opportunity awarded to them with Sholett putting one in the back of the net at 9:20, 17-2.
- From there on the Saints only managed to score two goals opposed to the Lions doubling that, 20-4.
- This quarter was the closest scoring affair for DYU during the contest, 6-3.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Engelhardt made the most out of the man-up opportunity offered to the Saints in the early going recording a goal that would be the last of the quarter on the DYU side, 20-5.
- There was no let up by the Lions as they buried another six goals that cemented their victory against the Saints, 26-5.
