Box Score WATERBURY, CT- The D'Youville University men's lacrosse team was up against the Eagles of Post University falling, 19-9 from LaMoy Field.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
FIRST QUARTER
- PU rushed out to a 3-0 start but at 9:09 Lucas got the first goal of the day for the Saints to get things rolling, 3-1.
- The Eagles hung up two goals shortly after with the last one coming at 6:31 giving them a four-goal lead, 5-1.
- At the 2:53 mark the Saints took advantage of the man up with Sholett scoring off a feed from Engelhardt, 5-2.
- 1:16 the Eagles fired off another to increase the lead produced in the quarter, 6-2
- Montreal put one in the back of the net at 0:34 with the assist from Evan helped conclude the quarter, 6-3.
SECOND HALF
- In the first 5:52 of the quarter PU kept their momentum up by scoring two goals in that timeframe, 8-3.
- Evan got DYU back on the scoreboard with a goal at 7:44 off a man-up opportunity, 8-4.
- The Saints weren't the only ones utilizing their man-up chances as PU records one at 6:59, 9-4.
- Back-to-back goals were scored by Engelhardt and Evan by the 6:06 mark, 9-6.
- The Eagles responded back with three goals in 3:03 with the last one coming at 1:59, 12-6.
- Sholett scored the last goal for the Saints to wrap things up while Eagles wanted to follow suit and did the same thing before ending the quarter, 13-7.
THIRD QUARTER
- No scoring took place in the quarter.
- Saints got off more shots than the Eagles with them having 10 and PU recording six.
FOURTH QUARTER
- In the final quarter of the game Post put their foot on the gas scoring six goals in 10:22 with the time remaining being at 5:18, 19-7.
- The final 1:18 left of the game the last two goals for the Saints came off of man-up opportunities scored by Ruffalo and Engelhardt, 19-9.

The Saints will be coming back to Dobson Field Sunday, Feb. 26 at 12:00 p.m. against the Chargers of Dominican University from Dobson Field.
