LOCKPORT, N.Y. – The D'Youville University Women's Bowling Team finished up their Fall season with day two of the Daemen University Storm Fall Classic. The Saints finished sixth out of 12 teams improving one spot from day one. The Saints won a season best three matches in baker format as well.
After playing five five-game baker format matches against Pitt. – Greensburg, Ursuline, Hilbert, Baldwin Wallace, and William Smith, the Saints won three matches and knocked down a total of 4.036 pins on the day. Between the two days, D'Youville knocked down 8,247 pins and as a team scored an average game of 164.90.
The Saints found success today beating Pitt. – Greensburg 822-639, Ursuline 815-733, and Baldwin Wallace 805-700.
Weekend Highlights
- Megan Kapsiak (Lancaster, N.Y./ Lancaster Central) was named to the all-tournament team for the Daemen Storm Fall Classic and bowled her best game yesterday with a score of 258.
- Yesterday, the Saints defeated Mercyhurst University (currently ranked 15th in the country) 886-850.
- The Saints bowled their best game of day two against Pitt. – Greensburg knocking over 822 pins.
- Both Megan Kapsiak and Makayla Pasierb (Dunkirk, N.Y./Dunkirk) finished in the top ten out of 76 bowlers for the weekend.
