SPARKILL, N.Y. – Tristan Engelhardt and Nick Shollet each tacked two goals in the Saints 6-14 loss to East Coast Conference member St. Thomas Aquinas Friday afternoon. Corbin Montreal and Suman Ramlall had one goal each. Freshman Reece Eck, who has been out with an injury, made his return to the field Friday, recording 14 saves on 28 shots. Jordan Brown went 10-22 on faceoffs.

First Quarter Notables

• The Spartans took an early lead in the first quarter, tacking on their first goal at 9:02.
• St. Thomas Aquinas added three more goals before the final whistle of the quarter, leading 4-0 going into the break.

Second Quarter Notables

• Ramlall scored first in the second quarter of action, as Steve Lucas sent a pass to Ramlall at 13:38.
• The Spartans added another three goals before the final whistle of the half, leading 7-1 going into the intermission.

Third Quarter Notables

• The Spartans came out of the break hot, scoring at 11:29.
• Montreal and Lucas connected less than two minutes later to cut into STAC's lead, 2-8.
• St. Thomas Aquinas added two quick goals before Engelhardt and Ramlall connected at 1:03 to bring the Saints within seven goals.
• The Spartans added two more goals to lead 12-3 going into the final quarter of the game.

Fourth Quarter Notables

• Sholett struck first in the final quarter of action, putting one in the back of the net at 13:03.
• St. Thomas Aquinas tacked on two more goals before Sholett added his second goal of the game unassisted at 7:40.
• Engelhardt scored the final goal of the game at 1:43, but the Saints ultimately fell 6-14.
