DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The D'Youville men's lacrosse team suffered a 16-3 loss to East Coast Conference leader Mercy Sunday afternoon in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. Nick Sholett scored a team-high two goals, while Tristan Engelhardt added one goal to his stat line. Zac DeCarolis was credited with nine saves.

First Quarter Notables

• Mercy struck first in the high-scoring affair, as Brady Kearnan notched a goal at 10:18.
• Scholett evened the score for the Saints at 8:52.
• The Mavericks added six unanswered goals before the final whistle of the first quarter blew.

Second Quarter Notables

• The Saints took advantage of playing a man-up, as Steve Lucas and Englehardt connected at 13:45 to strike first in the second quarter.
• The Mavericks added two quick goals before Lucas and Sholett connected at 5:25 to cut into Mercy's lead.
• Mercy added one more goal before the final whistle of the first half to bring the lead to 10-3 going into the intermission.

Third Quarter Notables

• The Mavericks scored four unanswered goals coming out of the break.

Fourth Quarter Notables

• Mercy added two more insurance goals to the scoreboard, securing the 16-3 win at home.
