BUFFALO, N.Y. – The D'Youville women's bowling team opened the 2021-22 season with a dual match with Roberts Wesleyan. The Saints and Redhawks split the baker and team-game matches.
Head coach Sue Jeziorski said afterward, “I am pleased with our performance and to split the matches today. The four freshmen blended great with our returning players. I am very excited about this season.”
In the traditional team match, the Saints won by 11 pins, 811-800. True freshman Rachael Blose was the high-scorer for the Saints with a 179. Emily Williams was close behind with a 170 for D'Youville.
Roberts Wesleyan won the five-game baker match 875-707. The Redhawks won all five games. The closest games were the third and fifth. In game three, Roberts Wesleyan won 171-156. The Saints fell 158-138 in game five.
