Williamsville, NY - The D'Youville women's tennis team lost a close conference match on Sunday afternoon to the visiting Mount Aloysius Mounties by the final score of 5-4.

D'Youville had a lot of clutch performances from their singles players. Dena Iadanza (Vestal, NY/Vestal) picked up a 6-3, 6-0 victory with Faith Falkowski (Batavia, NY/Notre Dame) earning a 6-2, 6-7 victory in her singles match. Amanda Waliszewski (Sanborn, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) then added a singles win with a score of 6-2, 7-5.

In the doubles matches, Falkowski helped pick up another point for the women with her partner Julia Clapper (Cleveland, OH/Highland) as they defeated their opponents 8-1 for the fourth and final point for the women.

The Spartans will next play on the road this Saturday, September 14 as they play at Pitt.-Bradford at 1:00pm.
