COLONIA, N.J. – With the conclusion of the regular season, the East Coast Conference has released the women's lacrosse all-conference teams earlier today.
The D'Youville University women's lacrosse team was well represented, having seven student-athletes make all-conference teams.
Lauren Parker and
BreeLynn LaLonde highlight the list of Saints, receiving first team honors.
Madison Buck,
Danielle Gephart,
Sam Newlin,
Addison Moore, and
Kaylee Farias have all been named to the second team to round out the honors.
Lauren Parker – First Team All-Conference
Parker has capped off a brilliant career, making all-conference for four consecutive seasons. Parker was dominate in the circle, leading all NCAA DII players in total draw controls (184) and is second in the country in draw controls per game (11.53) for the regular season. Parker also currently ranks ninth all-time in draw controls in a season and is currently ranked fifth all-time in draw controls per game in a season within DII. Parker set a new single game record in draw controls for the Saints, winning 19 draw controls against Daemen University.
Parker led the team in caused turnovers with 19 and was second on the team in groundballs with 24. Parker had a season-high three caused turnovers against Wilmington University and a season-high four groundballs against the University of the District of Columbia.
During her senior season, Parker became a viable option scoring the ball, finishing the season with 21 goals. Parker scored a career-high four goals in the team's game against Molloy University.
On the year, Parker was named ECC Defensive Player of the Week three times and to the Honor Roll four times.
BreeLynn LaLonde – First Team All-Conference
LaLonde had a strong sophomore campaign for the Saints, leading the team in groundballs with 33 while causing 14 turnovers, ranking third in the team. LaLonde's breakout game of the season came early on against the University of Findlay, causing three turnovers and grabbing six groundballs, both season-highs.
LaLonde also wasn't afraid to get her noise in the draw circle, winning 18 draw controls including a season-high nine against Mercy University.
Madison Buck – Second Team All-Conference
For the third year in a row, Buck has been named Second Team All-ECC. Buck was the straw that stirred the drink for the Saints offense, leading the way with 56 points. Buck averaged just over 3.5 points per game, ranking sixth in the conference. Buck led the team in 32 assists and averaged two assists per game, ranking second in the ECC. Buck's biggest point total came against St. Thomas Aquinas College, accounting for 12 points including 10 assists.
Buck also found the back of the net regularly, scoring 24 goals on the year. Buck scored a season-high five goals against Lake Erie College.
On the year, Buck made the ECC Honor Roll once.
Danielle Gephart – Second Team All-Conference
Gephart had a breakout season for the Saints, becoming a viable option to not only score the ball, but to setup her teammates. Gephart accounted for 52 points, ranking second on the team. Gephart averaged just over three points per game, ranking 10th in the conference. Gephart was second on the team in goals with 28 and third on the team in assists with 24.
Gephart had a season-high nine points, four goals, and five assists all coming in the team's game against Molloy University.
On the year, Gephart was named to the ECC Honor Roll twice.
Sam Newlin – Second Team All-Conference
Returning to the field after a year off, Newlin picked up where she left off, making all-conference for the third time in her career. Newlin was fourth on the team in points with 37 and third on the team with 27 goals. Newlin scored a season-high five goals and had a season-high six points, all coming against St. Thomas Aquinas College.
Newlin was also active off the ball, causing 17 turnovers, grabbing 22 groundballs, and winning 34 draw controls. Newlin had a season-high four caused turnovers against Lake Erie College and a season-high four groundballs against St. Thomas Aquinas.
On the year, Newlin was named to the ECC Honor Roll twice.
Addison Moore – Second Team All-Conference
Moore had a bounce back season for the Saints after her previous season was cut short. Moore was apart of a defensive unit where she accounted for 10 caused turnovers while grabbing 23 groundballs. Moore had a season-high three caused turnovers and four groundballs against Molloy University. Moore provided extra offensive opportunities in the team's game against Lake Erie College, winning eight draw controls.
Kaylee Farias – Second Team All-Conference
Farias made an impact for the Saints right from the jump, starting in all 15 games played in. Farias made 125 saves in 906 minutes played in net. Farias made a career-high 17 saves against then-ranked No. 7 Slippery Rock University.
Farias also had a knack for grabbing the loose ball and causing turnovers, grabbing 27 groundballs and causing six turnovers. Farias had a career-high four groundballs against Molloy University and a career-high two caused turnovers against Lake Erie College.
On the year, Farias was named ECC Goalie of the Week twice and ECC Honor Roll twice.
