ECC Players of the Week | Mar. 9-15

COLONIA. N.J. – It was another strong week of Saints athletics as eight players took home the major ECC weekly awards with two earning Honor Roll nods for the week of Mar. 9-15.
 
Madison Handley, Women's Lacrosse – ECC Offensive Player of the Week
Handley led the Saints' offense across two games, recording eight goals and three assists for 11 total points against the University of the District of Columbia and Wilmington University (Delaware). She highlighted the week with a 10-point outing (7 goals, 3 assists) in the 23–1 victory over UDC. Handley consistently created scoring opportunities and finished chances to power the Saints' attack in their 1-1 record on the week.
 
Lauren Parker, Women's Lacrosse – ECC Defensive Player of the Week
Parker dominated the draw circle for the Saints, recording 13 draw controls against the University of the District of Columbia after breaking her own program record with 18 draw controls against Wilmington University (Delaware). In addition to controlling possession, Parker contributed several caused turnovers and strong defensive pressure throughout both games. Her ability to win draws and disrupt opposing offenses played a major role in D'Youville's transition game all week.
 
Kaylee Farias, Women's Lacrosse – ECC Goalie of the Week
Farias started both games in goal for the Saints, finishing the week with 13 total saves. She recorded five saves while allowing just one goal in the Saints' 23–1 win over UDC after adding eight saves against Wilmington while facing 40-plus shots. Farias' made some key stops and was able to keep the Saints competitive throughout the week.
 
Graham Sholett, Men's Lacrosse – ECC Offensive Player & Rookie of the Week
Sholett helped the Saints to a 2-0 week, with 13 points on the week (10 goals, 3 assists). In the team's 17-9 win over American International College, Sholett scored four goals and added two assists. In the team's conference opener against the University of the District of Columbia, Sholett scored a career-high six goals while adding one assists. Sholett also added three groundballs and caused two turnovers on the week.
 
Hayden Goldthorp, Men's Lacrosse – ECC Defensive Player of the Week
Goldthorp was the leader of the defensive unit this past week, causing seven turnovers while grabbing six groundballs. Goldthorp had four caused turnovers and grabbed three groundballs as the Saints downed American International College by a score of 17-9. In the team's conference opener against the University of the District of Columbia, Goldthorp had three caused turnovers and three groundballs in the 19-3 win.
 
Mikayla Hussar, Softball – ECC Player of the Week
Hussar batted .571 this week across 21 at bats. The Sophomore recorded a .905 slugging percentage with 12 hits, eight RBIs including five doubles and one triple.
 
Summer Clark, Softball – ECC Pitcher of the Week
Clark had another great week for the Saints holding a 5-1 overall record with a 1.11 ERA. The Senior threw 38 innings striking out 36 while only allowing two walks.
 
Mihir Manerikar, Baseball – ECC Honor Roll
Mihir Manerikar pitched 2.2 scoreless innings to close out the first game with a win at Mercy, allowing three hits and striking out three. Mihir showed great command, working his way through the order in an 8-4 win to earn the Saints their lone victory of the weekend.
 
Billy Morris, Baseball – ECC Honor Roll
Morris added to his own school record with his 18th career win at Mercy on Friday. He tossed 6.1 innings, allowing eight hits and three earned while striking out three. He added to his day at the plate, contributing five hits across the two games at Mercy, including the 200th hit of his DYU career. Through four games this weekend at Mercy and STAC, Morris finished 9-of-1616 at the plate with three runs scored and two RBIs.
