Six Saints Named to ECC All-Conference Teams

COLONIA, N.J. – With eh close of the women's lacrosse regular season, six D'Youville University women's lacrosse players earned all-conference honors within the East Coast Conference.
 
Brinn Stworzydlak (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier) and Sydney Gordon (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) earned First Team All-ECC honors while Sophia Conzone (Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse Minoa), Madison Buck (Rochester, N.Y./Churchville Chili), Madison Handley (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster), and Lauren Parker (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) all earned Second Team All-ECC honors.
 
Brinn Stworzydlak, Senior Goalkeeper – First Team All-ECC
Stworzydlak went 4-9 in between the pipes this season, making 145 saves. Stworzydlak ranked second in the conference with 11.15 saves per game, also ranking her eighth nationally. Stworzydlak put together seven double digit save performances including a season-high 18 saves against Saint Michael's College. Stworzydlak also had a knack for grabbing the loose ball, coming away with 21 groundballs which ranked third on the team.
 
Sydney Gordon, Senior Attack – First Team All-ECC

Gordon had a solid senior campaign, coming away with 27 goals, 16 assists to account for 53 points. Gordon was third on the team in points and goals and ranked second on the team with 16 assists. Gordon's best point total performance came against American International College where she had three goals and two assists to account for five points. Gordon had five games where she recorded a hat trick including a season-high four goals against Mercy University.
 
Sophia Conzone, Senior Defense – Second Team All-ECC
Conzone was apart of the defensive line for the Saints, causing 10 turnovers while grabbing 20 groundballs. Conzone had a season-high four groundballs against Franklin Pierce University and caused a season-high two caused turnovers in two games. Conzone was also strong in the circle, winning 21 draw controls which ranks second on the team. Conzone had a season-high six draw controls against Dominican.
 
Madison Handley, Junior Attack – Second Team All-ECC
Handley was to focal point of the Saints offense this season, leading the team in goals (57) and points (68). Handley also led the ECC in goals per game (4.07) and was second in the conference in points per game (4.86). Handley's 4.07 goals per game was amongst the best in the country, ranking 11th in the regular season. During the season, Handley set the game record for goals scored, finding the back of the net 12 times in the team's win against Lake Erie College.
 
Madison Buck, Junior Attack – Second Team All-ECC
Buck was a facilitator of the Saints offense, leading the team with 25 assists. Buck ranked third in the conference with 1.79 assists per game. During the team's win against UDC, Buck set a single game record of 10 assists and helped set the team record of assists in a game with 18. Buck also had a knack for scoring the ball as well, ranking second on the team in goals (34) and points (59).
 
Lauren Parker, Junior Defense – Second Team All-ECC
Parker was the straw that stirred the drink for the Saints this season, leading the team in draw controls with 94, setting a new single season record. Parker ranked second in the conference with 6.71 draw controls per game. Parker's 6.71 draw controls per game ranked 13th in the nation. Parker broke records along the way this season including single game draw controls (17), career draw controls (207), and single game team draw controls (26).
