BUFFALO, N.Y. – Made their third consecutive trip to the East Coast Conference Championships, the No. 3 seeded D'Youville University women's lacrosse team will travel to face No. 2 Mercy University Thursday afternoon.

About the Saints
DYU is coming off a regular season record of 7-9, and a program best 4-2 record. The Saints finished the regular season on a three-game winning streak, beating the likes of St. Thomas Aquinas College, Daemen University, and the University of the District of Columbia.
D'Youville is no stranger to playing Mercy in the semifinals, facing them in each of the past two postseasons. The Mavs hold a 2-0 record in those games.
The Saints will look to avenge their regular season loss to the Mavs where they fell by a score of 18-8.
Madison Handley led the offense with three goals while
Madison Buck (Rochester, N.Y.) and
Sam Newlin (Austin, Texas) each had two goals.
Jillian Bernas (Cheektowaga, N.Y.) added one goal with
Danielle Gephart (Eden, N.Y.) added two assists.
On the defensive end, DYU was led by
Lauren Parker (Syracuse, N.Y.) with six groundballs and three caused turnovers.
Brinn Stworzydlak (Hamburg, N.Y.) saw most the time in net, making 12 saves.
