Last Time Out
The Saints won three out of four games against ECC rival Queens College this past weekend. They shutout the Knights for the first 22 innings of the series. In game one, Chris Auclair (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) threw six scoreless innings while only allowing three hits and striking out six. Jeremy Glinski (Sloan, N.Y.) and Hunter Nowak (Hamburg, N.Y.) each picked up two hits and two RBI in the 7-0 win. In their 2-0 win in game two, Mihir Manerikar (Mississauga, Ontario) pitched five no-hit innings while striking out five batters and the Saints bullpen took the no-hitter into the eighth inning before finally surrendering a hit. In game four, DYU scored six runs in the bottom of the eighth to come back from a 6-3 deficit and win 9-6. Jake Hollins (Orchard Park, N.Y.) and Glinski each had two hits and drove in two runs. Alec Boucher (Essex, Ontario) went 7-for-11 over four games with a double, triple, and two RBI. Sam Worthen (Guelph, Ontario) threw five scoreless innings and notched three saves in three relief appearances.
