WINGATE, N.C. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced the Division II All-Americans for the 2026 season as
Billy Morris received Honorable Mention recognition.
During the regular season, Morris proved once again to be a constant for the team this season, both at the plate and on the mound. At the plate, Morris was second in the conference in hits (65), first in doubles (14), tied for fourth in runs scored (44), and tied for sixth in triples (2).
On the season, Morris had a season-high five hits and five RBIs at the College of Staten Island, a season-high two doubles at St. Thomas Aquinas College, and a season-high four runs scored against Chestnut Hill College.
On the mound, Morris was to go-to option for the Saints once again. Morris has an ERA of 4.23 in 66.0 innings worth of work, good for fifth best in the conference. Morris had a knack for striking out his opponents, striking out 65 batters, including 21 that were caught looking, ranking fourth and second in the respective categories.
Morris saw his best outing come early in April, pitching a complete nine inning game against the College of Staten Island where he struck out a career-high 12 batters.
This is the second time in Morris' career that he was named NCBWA Honorable Mention All-American, receiving the honors after the 2025 season as well.
Morris was named First Team All-ECC and D2CCA All-East Region Second Team this season as well.
