The Saints split a two-game series with Virginia State with a 5-1 win on Tuesday and a 14-8 loss on Wednesday. In their 5-1 win,
Billy Morris (Lancaster, N.Y.) threw seven innings of one-run ball, allowing just three hits and striking out ten batters.
Blaise Kolbert (Lancaster, N.Y.) came in in relief of Morris and threw two shutout innings, striking out two. With a single in the second inning,
Jeremy Glinski (Sloan, N.Y.), tallied his 139
th career hit, a new school record.
Alex Dzimian (Lakeview, N.Y.) recorded two hits and drove in a run for the Saints. In their 14-8 loss,
Chris Neino and
Caden Strobel (Pittstown, Pa.) each picked up three hits, new career-highs for both players. Morris and Glinski both had two hits and drove in two runs.
Kyle Blunt (Watford, Ontario) got his first start of the year on the mound and threw 2.2 innings, allowing just one run on one hit and two walks.
