Baseball Heads South for First Leg of Spring Break Trip

BUFFALO – The D'Youville University baseball team heads south to Cary, North Carolina for a set of four games against Frostburg State University, Gannon University, and Concord University.

Last Time Out
The Saints went 1-2 in West Virginia last weekend with close losses to Millersville University and West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a win against Mercyhurst University. In their thrilling 11-10 victory over Mercyhurst on Sunday, DYU scored six runs in the top of the ninth to come back and win. C Hunter Nowak (Hamburg, N.Y.) collected three hits, including a single as part of their ninth inning rally. LF Nick DiCarlo (Lewiston, N.Y.) put the Saints ahead with a hot shot to short that the shortstop couldn't handle, allowing two runs to score. RHP Samuel Worthen (Guelph, Ontario) closed out the win after inducing a line drive double play and recording a strikeout with the bases loaded. Over the course of their three games, C/RF Jeremy Glinski (Sloan, N.Y.) went 6-for-9 (.667) with a home run, two doubles, and three walks, earning him ECC Player of the Week.
