Box Score WATERBURY, CT- The D'Youville University women's lacrosse team competed in yet another game that resulted in victory against the Eagles of Post University from LaMoy Field, 18-11.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
FIRST QUARTER
- DYU started the quarter out strong as they went on a 5-0 run after a PU goal was scored at 11:21, 6-1.
- At 4:52 the Saints tacked on an additional three goals that helped assure their lead, 9-2.
- PU made the most out of the final-minute of play getting two goals out of it, 9-4.
SECOND QUARTER
- Saints got situated early scoring three straight keeping their foot on the gas early on, 12-4.
- Scoring slowed down a bit as it took 5:09 for DYU to get back on the board, 13-6.
- Before going into the half the Saints managed to put one more in the back of the net, 14-6.
THIRD QUARTER
- PU's defense started to emerge in this quarter as they only allowed two DYU goals to be scored, 15-9.
- The Eagles started to fall into a rhythm where they outscored the Saints in this one, 3-2.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Saints got back to it and pushed the pace to maintain momentum as they outscored PU in the quarter, 4-2.
- DYU took over the last six minutes scoring the final two goals that came from Newlin and Buck ultimately leading to another Saints victory on the season, 18-11.
