Box Score ORANGEBURG, NY- The D'Youville University women's lacrosse team competed against the Chargers of Dominican University dropping, 17-4 from Torne Valley Complex.
INSIDE THE NUMBER
FIRST QUARTER
- Things were all evened up at 11:44 after a women up opportunity was presented that Fischer scored on, 2-2.
- From there on the Saints allowed for the Chargers to tack on two more goals before things were wrapped up, 4-2.
SECOND QUARTER
- DU jumped out to a quick two-goal start to get things started on their side, 6-2.
- DYU then answered after a goal that came from Newlin narrowing the deficit to just three goals, 6-3.
- The quarter was closed out by a Chargers 3-0 run produced giving them the five goal lead going into the half, 9-4.
THIRD QUARTER
- The defense of the Chargers stood stout in the second phase phase of the game as they allowed for no DYU goals to be scored in this one as they buried an additional five goals stretching the lead out to 10, 14-4.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Similar result to the previous quarter as no scoring took place for the Saints.
- Unfortunately, the Saints had no answer for the onslaught put on by DU and couldn't come up with the win by the end, 17-4.
