ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- The D'Youville University women's lacrosse team went up against the Lions of Molloy University in conference action with the Lions coming out on top, 17-6 from the RVC Sports Complex.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Sam Newlin did all she could for the Saints in this one finishing with four goals and an assist, Madison Buck had two goals and one assist, Madison Buck and Danielle Thompson both gathered one assist respectively.

FIRST QUARTER

• A bit of a slow start for the Saints as they allowed for the Lions to go on a 5-0 run before they stopped the bleeding with a goal of their own that came about at 1:49 which ended up being the final goal of the quarter, 6-2.

SECOND QUARTER

• At 13:03 DYU managed to find the back of the net with the goal coming from Newlin, 7-3.
• Unfortunately for the Saints that goal ended up being the last one to take place in their favor as MOL stretched their out to as much as nine goals before going into the half, 12-3.

THIRD QUARTER

• The Saints had difficulty developing any sort of momentum for themselves as the Lions continued to pace their offense going on a 4-0 run, 16-3.
• The Lions defense stood stout and permitted DYU to score once which occurred in the final five seconds, 16-4.

FOURTH QUARTER

• MOL kept their foot on the gas showing no signs of letting up making sure the Saints were kept evade from scoring only letting in one goal during the quarter which wouldn't be enough as the Lions took the victory, 17-6.
