Box Score LOCK HAVEN, PA- The D'Youville University women's lacrosse team were on the road against the Bald Eagles of Lock Haven University falling, 16-6 from Stern Athletic Complex.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Sydney Gordon paced the offense of the Saints as she finishes her afternoon with 2 goals, Madison Handley, Grace Grosso, Madison Buck, and Sam Newlin contributed one goal respectively.
FIRST QUARTER
- Bald Eagles jumped out to an early 2-goal lead in the first 5:54 of play, 2-0.
- Saints got themselves on the scoreboard with a goal that came from Handley to get themselves going, 2-1.
- LHU kept its momentum going adding on another two goals that gave them the three-goal lead, 4-1.
- Gordon put one in the back of the net that concluded the scoring for the remainder of the quarter, 4-2.
SECOND QUARTER
- LHU didn't let up as they scored back-to-back goals that extended their lead by four, 6-2.
- At 8:35 Buck was awarded a free position shot that she turned into a goal bringing the Saints within three, 6-3.
- The Bald Eagles wrapped up the quarter by securing the last two goals that put them out in front going into the half, 8-3.
THIRD QUARTER
- DYU came out with the first goal that Newlin buried trying to get the Saints back into the game, 8-4.
- A 3-0 run was produced that allowed the Bald Eagles to preoccupy 2:12 of the quarter with 8:10 remaining, 11-4.
- Gordon got the Saints back on track disrupting the LHU run by getting one in the back of the net, 11-5.
- The scoring efforts for the remainder of the quarter were accounted for by the Bald Eagles which gave them a comfortable lead, 14-5.
FOURTH QUARTER
- The Bald Eagles kept their foot on the gas tacking on another two goals and adding to their commanding lead, 16-5.
- Under two minutes left within the quarter the scoring was capped off by Grosso with the final being, 16-6.

The Saints will be back in competition against the Rocks of Slippery Rock University on Wednesday, Mar. 8 at 4:00 p.m. from Mihalik-Thompson Stadium Complex.
