Box Score 2 LEWISTON, N.Y. – The D'Youville University Baseball team went 0-2 in their first two games against conference opponent, St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday, March 24th.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Jeremy Glinski put the Saints on the board with a double to center field. Players Ethan Hammond, and Billy Morris scored.

After a Spartans run in the top of the second, the score went quiet until the Spartans brought home 10 in the fifth. (11-2)

Glinski hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth to get another Saints' run on the board, bringing home Dillon Crook. Alec Boucher singled to center field in the same inning to plate Morris. (11-4)

Morris doubled in the sixth, scoring Hunter Nowak scored. (13-5)

Trevor Zewan and Phill Polakiewicz singled in the ninth as well as Josh Battaglia's RBI groundout to shortstop in the ninth, brought the final to 20-8.

HOW IT HAPPENED

In the top of the third, St. Thomas Aquinas singled, scoring their eighth run of the game. (8-0)

In the bottom of the fourth, Morris singled to right field, sending Nowak home. (8-1)

In the seventh, Nowak doubled and Morris and Hammond each singled, scoring Crook, Jon Simpson and Caden Strobel. Nowak also scored on a fielding error. Putting the final score at 8-5.
