Box Score BUFFALO, NY- The D'Youville University women's lacrosse team competed against the Storm of Lake Erie College concluding in victory from Dobson Field, 16-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
FIRST QUARTER
- Saints wasted no time getting situated in the game as they produced six consecutive goals in the quarter.
- The defensive efforts of DYU made things difficult for the Storm to create scoring opportunities.
SECOND QUARTER
- DYU's foot remained on the gas as they buried five additional goals to stretch their lead out to as many as 11 goals.
- Stayed consistent on the defensive end of the field repeating an identical quarter allowing no LEC goals to be scored.
- The Saints were a perfect five-for-five on clear attempts.
- Going into halftime the Saints developed a strong hold on the game, 11-0.
THRID QUARTER
- Slow quarter on both sides as for there being only two goals scored that came from Handley and Bernas making the Saints lead a commanding one.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Saints still wanted to some urgency in this quarter by scoring the first two goals off shots by Fischer and Newlin creating the biggest lead of the game, 15-0.
- The bleeding of LEC finally stopped at 6:14 scoring their first goal of the game which stood no match to rally them back ultimately leading to the Saints victory, 16-1.
