Box Score Rockville Centre, N.Y.- The D'Youville University men's basketball team played conference competitors in the Lions of Molloy University in a close game that ended with the Lions on top, 69-63 from Quealy Gymnasium.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
FIRST HALF
- The Saints at the 16:04 mark of the half jumped out to their first lead of the game from a layup made by Fontes Jules, 8-7.
- DYU maintained their lead on the Lions for 10:46 until the Lions obtained the lead back off of a made point from the charity stripe with the clock at 5:18, 23-22.
- Latrell Butler's made three-pointer at the buzzer helped the Saints keep a hold of the lead to close out the half, 34-32.
SECOND HALF
- The Saints kept the pressure on the Lions maintaining the lead they produced until at 14:17 Molloy obtained the lead back making a layup, 45-44.
- This lead change was one of five that took place over the course of the second half.
- Final 16 seconds of the game resulted in the Saints sending the Lions to the free throw line that gifted them three points, 69-63.
