AMHERST, N.Y. — D'Youville men's basketball fell to No. 1 Daemen University 73-59 on Saturday at Lumsden Gymnasium in the 2026 ECC Men's Basketball Championship Seminfinals.
The Saints opened the game with a strong start, as
Nathan Andrice hit a three-pointer at 19:18, assisted by
Elisha Warren. DYU maintained a competitive edge, with
Sean Reynolds contributing a pivotal three-pointer with 36 seconds left in the half, assisted by
Trayton Trice, keeping the score tight. D'Youville's bench provided 11 points, and they tied the game multiple times as they helped to stay within striking distance, trailing 33-31 at the break.
D'Youville's efforts in the second half were highlighted by
Maxence Massadila, who contributed significantly with a series of key plays. Massadila hit three three-pointers, including one at 8:26 that trimmed the deficit. Daemen was able to pull away in the final minutes to secure the win.
Massadila scored 16 points, hitting 4-of-6 from beyond the arc, and added two steals. Reynolds contributed 12 points, converting three of his six three-point attempts, while also collecting seven rebounds. Warren finished with 10 points, making all six of his free throw attempts, and recorded three steals. Andrice posted nine points and registered two blocks, contributing defensively as well.
