Box Score KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The D'Youville women's lacrosse team secured a dominating 19-4 win over Keuka Wednesday night on the road. Bethany Wolcott paced the Saints offensively, scoring five goals on nine shots. Riley Riedel and Sydney Gordon were each credited with four goals, while Danielle Thompson had two and Emily Fischer, Jillian Bernas, Marissa Malvaso, and Tiffany Crisofanelli each scored one. Brinn Stworzydlak was credited with seven saves on 11 shots.
First Quarter Notables
- It looked like it was going to be a close game at the end of the first quarter, as the Saints led the Wolves 2-1.
- Keuka got on the board first, scoring at 10:29.
- Both teams went back-and-forth until just under one minute left when Brooke Bonetti from Keuka was given a yellow card and the Saints took advantage of the man-up situation.
- Gordon scored D'Youville's first goal at 0:54 to tie the game.
- Cristofanelli put the Saints ahead just over 20 seconds later, when Thompson sent a pass to the top of the circle and Cristofanelli buried it into the back of the net.
Second Quarter Notables
- The Saints pulled ahead in the second quarter, leading the way 8-2 going into the intermission.
- Wolcott scored her first goal of the game at 13:58 to extend the Saints' lead to 3-1.
- Riedel added another goal less than 10 seconds later.
- Madeline Green cut into the Saints' lead at 12:41, sneaking one past Stworzydlak to bring the Wolves within two.
- The Saints added four unanswered goals as Wolcott (4:43), Riedel (4:26), Thompson (4:08 and 2:44) all tallied goals before the whistle signaling the first half.
Third Quarter Notables
- Wolcott secured the hattrick at 14:47 in the third quarter.
- The Saints went on an 8-0 scoring run following Wolcott's early goal.
- Gordon converted the free position shot at 13:08, followed by a goal off a Malvaso assist at 11:03.
- Malvaso added her own goal in the third quarter at 8:51.
- Malvaso added two more assists to her stat line, as Wolcott and Gordan scored at 7:45 and 5:20, respectively.
