QUEENS, N.Y. – A first half deficit proved to be the deciding factor for the Saints, as the D'Youville men's basketball team fell 56-63 to the Queens College Knights Thursday night on the east coast. Three Saints scored double digit figures, as freshman Nelson St. Louis led the way with 13 points. Sophomore Noah Denz and freshman Mason Putnam rounded out the scoring efforts with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Freshman Luke Theisen grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in 25 minutes of action.

First Half Notables

• The Saints trailed the Knights, 23-31, going into the intermission.
• In a balanced scoring effort, Putnam, Stineman, and St. Louis paced the Saints with seven, six, and five points, respectively.
• St. Louis led the Saints off the glass, grabbing three rebounds. The Port St. Lucie, Fla. Native shot 75% from the free-throw line.
• Putnam was a success at the charity stripe, shooting 100% in the first half.

Second Half Notables

• The first half deficit proved to be the deciding factor for the Saints, as they fell to Queens College despite outscoring them 33-32 in the final 20 minutes of action.
• Putnam opened the scoring in the second half with an unassisted layup at 19:46. The Prattsburgh, N.Y. native added six points to his stat line in the second half.
• St. Louis paced the Saints in the second half of the game, scoring 11.
• Denz added eight points to his resume during the final 20 minutes of the game.
