BUFFALO, N.Y. - The D'Youville University women's soccer team travels on Wednesday Oct. 12 for an afternoon match against Daemen. Kickoff is at 3 p.m.
OPENING VII
I. The Saints are coming off an 0-2 loss at home, against Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
II. Freshman Hannah Woodhouse led the Saints against IUP placing a shot on net without securing any fouls.
III. Eleonora Cecchini Currently leads the Saints at three goals on the season. Jillian Bernas and Lily Gallagher are both at one.
IV. Daemen is currently 1-9-2 on the season while D'Youville is at 2-8-1 with one game postponed.
V. Head coach Abby Pearson is in her second season at the head of the program. Last year, the Saints went 7-10-2 overall, earning their first win over an NCAA Division II opponent, St. Thomas Aquinas. Joining Pearson on the sidelines are Kyle Cunningham, Corey Nash, Marina Cunningham, and Hannah Gallivan.
VI. Three Saints earned USCAA All-America honors last season. Returning from the group is Maggie Leeds who led the team with seven goals.
VII. Pearson is welcoming 12 incoming student-athletes to the squad this year, including transfers Tsianna Barnwell and Reaghan Duval. Barnwell joins the Saints after a four-year stint at NCAA Division I St. Bonaventure.
