Box Score BUFFALO, N.Y. – The D'Youville Saints fell to East Coast Conference opponent Daemen College, 92-76, Saturday at the College Center Gym. Sophomore Chris Stineman led the way for the Saints against the Wildcats of Daemen, knocking down a career-high 27 from the hardwood. The Buffalo, N.Y. native went 12-for-20, with 3-for-5 from beyond the arc.
Freshman Mason Putnam added to the scoring efforts for D'Youville, collecting a total of 19 points and three assists. Junior Latrell Butler added six assists of his own, while grabbing eight rebounds from the glass. Freshman Luke Theisen grabbed eight off the glass for the Saints.
First Half Notables
- Stineman led the way for the Saints going into the break, scoring an impressive 18 points and going 2-for-3 from beyond the arc.
- Putnam scored six in the first half for D'Youville, adding in two assists during the first 20 minutes of the game.
- Butler had two assists.
- The Saints recorded three blocks (Stineman 2, Noah Denz 1).
Second Half Notables
- Putnam and freshman Nelson St. Louis exploded in the second half, leading the way with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
- Stineman added in nine of his own, while recording another two blocks.
- Butler added four assists to his resume in the second half of action, while freshman Jared Sullivan, sophomore Noah Denz, and Putnam each added an assist of their own.
- The Saints forced four turnovers on the Wildcats in the second half of action.
