Buffalo, NY- Wednesday evening D'Youville took on cross-town rivals Medaille for their blackout night but were defeated 89-62.

The Spartans were led by Marcus Clarke (Olean, NY / Archbishop Walsh Academy) who put up 17 points and contributed two steals. Jon Gemerek (Cheektowaga, NY/Depew) added 15 points, going 5 for 6 at the line. Gemerek also led the Spartans with six rebounds. Also in double-figures was Nate Sweetman (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) with ten points.

D'Youville's final home game of the season is Saturday, February 15 at 1pm against Penn State Altoona. At this game the three seniors, Kyle Clarke (Olean, NY/Olean), Jake Maryniewski (Depew, NY/Depew) and Anthony Wiechec (Buffalo, NY/St. Francis) will be recognized for their time on the D'Youville basketball team.
