Pittsburg, PA - The D'Youville Women's Soccer Team lost their third straight game early Saturday afternoon as they lost to La Roche by the score of 1-0.

After no goals being scored in the first half, La Roche broke the scoreless tie just under 20 minutes into the second half. The one goal was all the team needed as the Redhawks shutout the Spartans. D'Youville had 17 shots, 8 of which were on goal, but none of which could find he back of the net.

The Spartan defense of senior captain Mallory Hojnack (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg), junior Amanda Drake (West Winfield, NY/Mount Markham), freshman Jenna Tomizzi (Buffalo, NY/Sacred Heart) and junior goalkeeper Catie Giebner (Sicklerville, NJ/Winslow Township) limited the La Roche offense to 4 shots, 3 of which were on goal.

D'Youville's current 3 game losing streak is this longest such streak of the season. The women have 3 remaining conference games this season before the post season begins.

The next game for the D'Youville Women's Soccer Team is their final home game of the season on Wednesday, October 22nd against Penn St.-Behrend. The game begins at 5pm and is followed by the men's game.
