Buffalo, NY- Jon Gemerek (Cheektowaga, NY/Depew) and Marcus Clarke (Olean, NY/Archbishop Walsh) each dropped in a game-high 14 points leading D'Youville to a 69-60 non-conference win over Houghton in the College Center Gym.

The Spartan's two Canadian players rounded out the quartet of double-figure scorers on the night.  Oliver Prince (Toronto, ONT/Jean Varnier) recorded his first double-double for the red and white with 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Andrew Reinhardt (Ridgeway, ONT/Ridgeway-Crystal Beach) tied a season-high with 10 points.

D'Youville led by 10 at halftime and extended the lead to 14 with 13:16 left to play.  Houghton chipped away at the lead and three times cut the deficit to a one possession game.  A quick 5-0 run powered by an Oliver Prince put back and a Marcus Clarke three-ball put the game out of reach with a minute and a half left.

Jake Maryniewski (Depew, NY/Depew) tallied a game-high 6 assists and 4 steals.  The Spartans defense forced 22 turnovers while collecting 12 steals and 5 blocked shots, led by Reinhardt's two highlight reel turn backs.

D'Youville returns to AMCC play this Saturday (Jan. 5) with a game at Pitt-Greensburg.  Start time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
