Buffalo, NY- A furious D'Youville rally at the end made it close but visiting La Roche College left the College Center Gym with a 79-72 win over D'Youville College.

Two Spartan players finished with career-high scoring totals: Jon Gemerek (Cheektowaga, NY/Depew) and Erik Prophet (Buffalo, NY/City Honors) with 20 points apiece.  Marcus Clarke (Olean, NY/Archbishop Walsh) was next with 8 points.  

Gemerek was 8 of 13 from the floor (2-3 from three-point range) and Prophet had a team-high 8 rebounds.

Playing in his first game since the November 16th opener, Jake Maryniewski (Depew, NY/Depew)had 8 assists and 6 steals (both game-high totals) to go with 7 rebounds.  

Trailing by 19 just 3 minutes into the second-half, D'Youville finished the game with a 23-8 run in the final 4:47 of the game.

D'Youville committed a season-low 12 turnovers and forced 23 turnovers.
