Erie, PA-Penn State Behrend scored a goal in 3:13 into the contest and marker held up giving the top-seeded Lions a 1-0 win over the fourth-seeded D'Youville College Spartans in the semifinals of the AMCC Women's Soccer Tournament.

A D'Youville scoring chance in the waning seconds went over the top of the goal.

The goal ended the D'Youville team-record shutout streak at 437:49 and it was the Spartan's first goal allowed since October 13.

The host Lions outshot the Spartans 14-6 but only held a slight 3-2 edge in shots on goal. Nicole LaVere (Clarence, NY/Williamsville East) and Danielle Gehen (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) recorded the D'Youville shots on goal.

D'Youville finishes the 2012 season with a team-record 11 wins and their furthest advancement in the AMCC Tournament since joining the conference in 2009.  Congratulations to Coach Potter and the Spartans for great season!
